2009/2010 Kindergarten Graduation Celebration: Mark your calendars!!!!! We are so thrilled to announce the 4th Annual Kindergarten Graduation Celebration & potluck luncheon. The graduation will be held Friday, June 4th here at the school. Please plan to arrive at 11:00 a.m. as we will begin at 11:15 a.m. and the potluck lunch will directly follow. Please RSVP by May 28th. We are planning to be outside weather permitting. The graduation ceremony includes all class students from the Busy Bee's and the Charming Cheetah's- including those who will be returning for another year with us due to the mandatory age requirement. Please be sure to sign-up for the potluck. Thank you.
Donuts for Dad & Father's Day Luncheon: Dad's enjoy a donut at drop-off and if your schedule permits plan to join us for a Father's Day Lunch with your child in celebration of your special day. Friday, June 18th from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m... A sign-up sheet will be posted soon. Happy Father's Day!
Progress Reports/Report Cards: Progress Reports and Report Cards will be sent out by June 4th. They include teacher observation, Ages and Stages Questionnaire results, and an action plan to assist each child in meeting their personal goals. Please review, sign and return to the school by June 11th. Please see your child's teacher or Ms. Trish with any questions or concerns.
Theme for Preschool (Kind Koala's & Hip Hop Hippo's): Our focus this month will be on "Ocean" Color Days: Pink, White, Orange, and Green; Alphabet Days: Ss, Tt, review and blending and Bb; Shapes: Heart, Diamond, Triangle, and Square ; Numbers: 3, 4, 5, and 6. Mrs. Lori and Mrs. Davyanna have many fun and educational activities planned for your child this month.
Theme for Kindergarten/Advanced Preschoolers (Busy Bee's & Charming Cheetahs): The focus this month is "Ocean" Ms. Marci & Miss Jessica will provide a weekly communication to their families that include a note to parents, the week's curriculum and assigned homework. Ms. Marci and Miss Jessica have many fun and educational activities planned for your child this month.
Theme for Infants/Toddlers (Darling Ducks): The focus this month is "Spring". The children's curriculum is designed to meet each child's developmental goals using a developmental assessment tool called the Ages and Stages Questionnaire. Ms. Stephanie & Mrs. Mary have many fun and educational activities planned for your child this month.
Water Play Days: We will be enjoying water play on Mondays and Thursdays each week during the summer. Please bring your child in their swimsuit on those days and provide us with a labeled towel and labeled dry clothes. :-)
Parent's Night Out: We will be hosting a parent's night out on Friday, June 25th from 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m... The cost is $20.00 per child. The sign-up will be posted soon.
Tumble Bus: Tumble Bus is here on Wednesdays at 10:00 and 10:30. Brochures are available by the sign-in book. If you are interested please let us know.
Photos: You can view school photos on facebook.com, if you are a friend of the school. If you have not already done so you can request us as a friend by entering Sierra Summit or Patricia Effenberger. The schools page has a picture of baby Brian on it- not to be confused with the one of Ms. Trish and Todd
Tuition Express: Never have to worry about a late payment again. With tuition express your payment is automatically deducted from your checking account each week. If you need a sign up form or have questions please see Miss Trish.
Laundry: Please remember to take your child's bedding home on Friday and return it nice and clean on Monday.
Event Calendar: Our event calendar has changed. Please post your calendar in a conspicuous place so that your child will be able to participate in the fun. Our activity calendar is designed to help your child learn and retain concepts. The calendar is a learning tool. In order for it to work effectively we need your participation.
Weather Change!!! Please provide your child with an extra set of weather appropriate labeled clothes. This includes children who are toilet trained. We could use extra underwear, socks, shorts and pants-if you would like to donate any of these items they would be much appreciated.
Label: Please be sure to label all of your child's belongings. FYI: We provide cups, forks and spoons for all of the children. If you choose to bring your own sippy cups or silverware please label them. We will be happy to label your child's belongings. Please see any teacher for assistance.
Lost & Found: We have placed a laundry basket next to the sign-in and sign-out area. We will place all non-marked items in the basket. If you are missing something please be sure to check the basket. We will donate the basket contents on the 1st and 15th of each month.
